Tasmanian Event Management Guide

The Tasmanian Events Management Guide has been designed to be relevant to events held throughout Tasmania and contains advice and guidance specific to Tasmanian conditions. It is laid out in two parts:

1)     The Tasmanian Event Management Guide is an easy to use handbook, that leads an event manager or management committee through the step-by-step process in the concept development, governance and practice of event management. The handbook is linked, using tabs and colour coding to:

 2)     The Event Planner. This manual contains templates and references that will enable events to develop their own individualised event management plan. This is designed to assist both current and future organisers of the event to have standardised documentation representing all aspects of the operation of the event from concept, marketing, and design through to risk management, safety, logistics and site management. The Event Planner is contained (as an MS Word document), along with other useful information, on a CD that comes with the Guide.

Both documents follow the methodology of event management as set out in the internationally recognised system known as the Event Management Body of Knowledge (EMBOK).
